Born in 1996 in Nanyuki, Kenya, Samuel Muriithi Muiga studied Fine Art at Kenyatta University. His work is influenced by his daily experiences of his life in community and societal changes. He believes that objects, activities and people mirror the images of society and reflects these images in his impressionist work.
"I believe in finding beauty and interest in the ordinary. My work is a reflection of my reality. It is characterised by local subject matter, loose brushwork, and abstracted backgrounds. When I pick up a brush, I seek to create work that inspires and enriches human experience."
