MASK at Smithsonian

In June 2014, MASK participated in the Smithsonian Folk Festival, Washington DC.

MASK Director Alla Tkachuk, alongside Preston Scott, Curator at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife, led a workshop on the nature of creativity.

The session featured impromptu demonstrations by musicians from Mongolia and Kenya, showcasing how their diverse musical traditions could converge to create unique and innovative experiences for the audience.
