A major retrospective exhibition of MASK's works, showcasing art produced by children and young people at our workshops in West Laikipia between 2008 and 2010, was held at the Rahimtulla Museum of Modern Art (RAMOMA) in Nairobi from August to September 2010.
The exhibition featured significant pieces, including Young Yar After the Conflict and Abstract Reflections of Hope. It occupied the entire museum, with each room dedicated to different themes and artworks that reflected the creativity and resilience of the young artists involved.
The exhibition was opened by Kenya-based artist Mary Collis and by artist Alla Tkachuk who was instrumental in curating the exhibition.
The event was well-attended, with many MASK students traveling from their villages to witness their work displayed in the prestigious venue, making it not only an artistic achievement but a moment of personal pride and community celebration.
