'Most Innovative Learning Organisation 2020'
In 2007, MASK took on the challenge to help create a better world through creativity education. Here how our work supports all 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
Poverty can be eradicated by unlocking the enormous potential of humans to be resourceful. Creative solutions will resolve the problem of a lack of food and clean water, and help to achieve permanent social change.
Creativity education - the educational practices that strengthen the capacity to create and innovate freely and at will -
is the ultimate ‘quality education’ that engenders the key skills and qualities that lead to meaningful jobs and lives.
Innovative solutions for renewable energy will counter and mitigate one of the biggest threats to our survival, climate change.
Too much of the world’s wealth is held by a small group of people, which means financial and social discrimination for the majority. Everyone must be enabled to realise their creative potential. When people are creative, they are self-sufficient, and the entire world prospers.
Creativity and innovation will combat the threat of climate change. It will effect changes and modernise infrastructure to protect the planet and promote greater prosperity across the globe.
Creativity is key to peace, justice and strong institutions. By definition, creativity is improvement for the common good. Lack of creativity in society leads to bureaucracy, injustice and abuse.
Creative sustainable agriculture systems will sustain the whole world’s population, increase productivity and production, maintain ecosystems, adapt to climate change, improve land and soil quality, and improve distribution systems.
Gender bias undermines our social fabric and is a huge waste of the world’s human potential. All genders having equal rights - and access - to creativity will benefit all the world's citizens.
Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are key to the future of industry and economic growth. Technological upgrading will increase productivity, create new jobs, and spur enterprise.
Creative people will create safe, affordable and resilient cities with green and inspiring living conditions. Their ground-breaking ideas will improve housing, transport systems and roads, and protect the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
We have damaged oceans and seas that are essential to our existence. Our only hope is that people that are creative will come up with solutions that will eliminate pollution and overfishing and protect marine life.
Team-based creativity is the cornerstone of all innovation. The Global Goals can be met only if we work together to build technological and cultural advancement. To build a better world, we need to do two things - create and collaborate.
Human ingenuity will win the fight against diseases and devise efficient and effective healthcare solutions for everyone.
Creative people will design equipment and hygiene solutions that can stop unnecessary diseases and deaths.
Creative people will meet future challenges and bring prosperity to communities across the globe through innovations in industry and infrastructure (such as sustainable technologies).
Creative people are responsible for the future. They embrace innovation selectively based on the common good, not material gains. They will devise ethical ways to use natural resources and reverse the harm that we have inflicted on the planet.
We have damaged life on land through deforestation, loss of natural habitats, and land degradation. Our only hope is that creative people can find solutions to sustain our ecosystems and preserve our biodiversity.
